Dear Cold and Flu Season, kindly f*ck off.

That right there mess of a human if I’ve ever saw one. I took this photo on April 4th. It’s what feels like 100 days later, and Lucy has just fully recovered after a secondary infection took hold and she was put on a round of antibiotics, and Milo’s symptoms are still hanging on. It was a few days before this that he fell face first on the gravel driveway and cut up his nose, and a few days before that that Lucy got sick… 5 days after recovering from the last virus to demolish them for weeks. WEEKS. I’ve come to the conclusion that when my kids get sick they get SICK. They don’t just get a runny nose for a couple of days and are fine. I know I’m not the only mom sick of sick kids. We all need cold and flu season to leave us alone and go bother someone else.

So that’s it. That’s the update. Just over here in survival mode trying to get more than 3 hours of sleep at night and not go crazy from barely leaving the house in a month and a half. Oh and I guess I learned to make sourdough throughout all of this. But that’s an update for another day. Why I decided I needed another thing to feed and care for everyday is beyond me, but bread is joy and we all need a little joy around here. Still need a name for her (my starter that is). Open to suggestions.

Here’s a random mishmash of photos from the last few weeks from the Fuji and the iPhone. “Mobile moments” might just become a new thing on these updates. The bags under my eyes in the fourth mobile photo really tell the story of how life is going around here… that was after being up from 1:30.. for the day.. yep.. really good times over here folks!
