#mundanemumdays: week 6
Hey folks,
How are you? A loaded question, right? It’s been tough. A lot of us facing hard times ahead and now more than ever I think it’s important we find gratitude in the mundane moments of our lives in an attempt to stay mentally healthy. Yesterday was filled with a lot of internalized worry on my part and I found it really hard to stay present with Lucy. But, when I did snap out of it, there were tickle fights on the kitchen floor, jumping on the bed, dance parties in the living room and lots of doggy kisses. Like I said on my Instagram post yesterday, Lucy keeps me grounded and reminds me to find joy in the mundane. She is the light in this dark world, and for that I am so very grateful!
This week Candace is sharing a few words about gratitude and how she’s been doing with all of this below:
It’s amazing how much can change in a week.
This week I have felt enormous gratitude for the ordinary and uneventful, as I watch parts of the world struggle through the extraordinary and apocalyptic (I mean, have you seen the toilet paper aisle?). I have felt fear about what is yet to come, not just in these next few days, but weeks, months, and years. The uncertainty of it all makes these mundane days all the sweeter, even if I have to scrounge for my last bit of energy and inspiration to use my camera. Stress and anxiety can take its toll on you!
The coming weeks will be hard; of that I have no doubt. Keeping the kids content and the adults sane will be a challenge, but will also provide a welcome distraction from the “what-ifs.”
I certainly hope I can rise to the challenge and document our lives during this trying time, taking wonderful pictures that tell the story of what is important.

I hope our photos bring you a bit of joy today!
